This exhibition examines the connection between adult magazines from the early 1900s and modern dating apps. It examines the strategies they both use to capitalize on male loneliness. The cultural shifts surrounding the public perception of sex after the Great Depression and the global pandemic of today reveals a common cultural context where people face extreme isolation and flock to matchmakers in search for human connection.
